It is with great pride that we are putting our 2011-2012 Varsity Ice Hockey Team on the ice.

We have come a long way since our initiation in 2007!

This will mark our fifth year in existence and the third year participating at the Varsity level as a co-op team between Sacopee Valley and Windham High Schools.

While we are a school sanctioned varsity sport, we receive no funding from either school. We are a completely self-funded school sport with our budget nearly $18,000.

Through fundraisers, community donations and player contributions, we fund this team. With everyone’s help, we’d like to eventually release the burden to the players altogether. As you are out in the community and you hear of a fundraiser that benefits our Wings Varsity Ice Hockey team, please keep in mind that we are completely self funded and are working hard to keep hockey in our communities.

We look forward to increased awareness for our program and increased participation at the younger levels as we move this program forward.
